What makes this handmade Sam so unique?
The most remarkable feature is undoubtedly the wooden rims: strong, lightweight, unique, and above all, stunningly beautiful. These rims have been handcrafted in Italy for three generations and have even been used to win the Tour of Flanders three times.
But the Sam is refined far beyond the rims alone. Every detail has been carefully considered: unique flat-profile mudguards, a gold-coloured chain, and leather saddle and grips by Brooks England.
This Sam features 3-speed Sturmey-Archer gearing, combined with drum brakes at both the front and rear. To secure these classic hubs into the rims, Sapim Strong spokes are used.
The pedals are made by MKS and, just like the frame of the Brooks saddle, are finished in copper. The matching toe clips are completed with leather straps by Brooks.
Each Sam carries a hand-hammered number from 1 to 50.
